I meant to post earlier this week but I have been busy. Well, yeah, obviously. No one ever says 'well I meant to but I got sewn into my sofa by good TV.' It's always some kind of busy. I know that deep inside you are all asking 'Well, why were you so busy?' (Yes, I imagine that you are all my friends and really care about my daily insanity. I know, I'm delusional.) S0! Let me share my busy with you:
1. I'm studying for my HESI exam. It's a Five Hour Exam. Yes, that deserved capital letters. Dear gods. Five hours. I cannot begin to explain the panic I feel about this exam. I last studied some of the topics on this exam in 1994. Excuse me while I have a crisis about my age now.
2. I live with the Gestapo. (Translation: I live in an HOA) We received a letter last week saying that our door was painted the wrong color and that it needed to be repainted. Now, we've had this door for 10 years or so. You'd think they might have mentioned something earlier. They waited to mention it this year until it was the rainy season. If I don't get it painted by Monday we'll be fined but we haven't had a day without rain since I got the damn paint from them.
It took two days of calling and e-mailing before I even received the paint. I hate them. A lot.
3. My husband broke his keyboard and thus the world ended. It's one of those really nice ergonomic ones and while I said we should just BUY ANOTHER ONE he decided that we should go through the year warranty. This meant I had to drive to the store, get a copy of the receipt that I tossed in April, call Microsoft, get a fax number to fax the receipt to, drive to Kinkos and fax the receipt, wait two days for a phone call from them, drive to FedEx and mail the keyboard and receipt for mailing it, and now I am awaiting a check from them sometime in the next.. oh.. month. Which I will then need to deposit so that I can buy the keyboard. Meanwhile, I get to hear daily about his trials and tribulations using a standard keyboard.
Just let me buy the damn keyboard! I probably spent more on gas than we've saved doing it this way.
4. I received a free shutterfly hardcover picture book from Huggies. I've been trying to get it set up as a present for his great grandmother for Christmas. This would be easier if I had any artistic talent whatsoever.
Oh, and I got sucked into my couch due to some TV shows. One of the new comedies this season, the Goldbergs, is TOTALLY worth watching. It reminds me of some of my friends' homes when I was growing up.
Speaking of all of that, here are some of the pictures I managed to take for the book:
I think I'll show these pictures to his girlfriend some day...
