I've been pondering a new baby carrier or two for a while. I know I want something like a Tula or a Kinderpack - something ergonomic that can be worn front or back. I'd also like to learn more about wrapping because it looks fantastic. Yet, I can afford none of this because the first semester of college is about to start and there are books to buy and uniforms to put together and... and.. stuff. Lots of stuff. Stuff everywhere!
Proof that the universe loves me is: I won a ring sling from Comfy Joey. It totally rocks. There is, granted, a bit of a learning curve in using this type of baby carrier. It got here just in time for Christmas and it is lovely and wonderful and I will post this pic but keep in mind he's not seated in it correctly. I was still learning how to adjust the darn thing (plus my husband is the master of ackward pictures. seriously).
So, the universe gave me a present and the adults in my husband's family also exchange presents but my son? My son just raked it in for his first holiday season. I have no IDEA where I'm going to put everything yet.
His great grandmother got him a Fisher Price laugh and learn (tiger driving may increase car insurance prices and lead to furry imaginary car seats).
His aunt got him the little people time to learn riding thing. It has something like forty million buttons that all make VERY loud noises and amuse the hell out of him.
His grandma got him a lot of things (clothes, a teddy bear, books, more toys) but the favorite gift according to Poet is a Woodstock doll to match his Snoopy.
It's also Snoopy's favorite present...
See how well they play together?
Yes, my husband did this. I walked into Poet's room to use the changing table and there they were all snuggled up in the crib reading a book. Have I mentioned how strange my husband is? Wonderful.. but strange.
