We need to talk about a sensitive issue tonight. We need to talk about weight. You see, recently I went to weigh myself and....
Yeah, my weight is leaning more towards 'jolly' and less towards 'sexy' these days. While that means I could totally pull off that santa suit I'd much rather be the hot Mrs. Claus.
Last March (2012, that is) I got injured in Naval Boot Camp. I slipped and fell and fractured my leg pretty badly. It was a few months before I was really walking again without a boot or crutches (June, basically) so I put on about 30 pounds. I'm not proud of it but it was a stressful time and eh.. whatever.
That wouldn't have been horrid but fast forward to July, a month after I came home, and I was pregnant. Within two months after that I was on bed rest and spent the rest of my pregnancy that way. So, yeah, I put on weight.
Seven months after the babe was born I'm still struggling with that weight. I've got fourty pounds I REALLY need to lose. I can't exercise at the moment because my back is beyond horrid thanks to some post pregnancy issues.
So! Salad! And this brings us back around to bacon, of course. While I'm willing to go back to eating salad with healthy protein, my husband is not willing to do this along with me unless there is bacon involved. Thus, we have a gigantic bag of bacon that we might mayyyyyyyyyyybe be able to steal from our darling bacon thieving child.
